The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) approved 172 investment projects in the first quarter of 2025. These projects represent a total investment of approximately 2.5 billion US dollars.  

The approved projects are expected to generate nearly 120,000 job opportunities. A notable portion of these investments includes 6 projects focused on expanding existing production.  

Of the total projects, 99 are located outside of Special Economic Zones, while 73 are situated within them. Overall, the first quarter of 2025 saw an increase of 66 registered investment projects compared to the same period in 2024. The total investment capital also increased by over 305 million US dollars, representing a growth of approximately 14%.  

In March alone, the CDC approved 60 investment projects, with a total investment of around 1.4 billion US dollars and the potential to create almost 50,000 jobs.

These figures highlight a significant surge in investment activity in Cambodia, promising not only economic growth but also increased employment opportunities for the local population. The CDC’s proactive approach in facilitating these investments demonstrates its commitment to creating a favorable business environment, which is essential for attracting both domestic and foreign investors.
